Blogging My School Days: What I Learned

📌 Reflection

When madam asked us to write a blog about any topic, I didn’t know where to begin because I had no clear idea. She said we could write about our daily lives, personal journey, or sports. At first, I thought about writing a daily journal, but since I already write one, I felt it wouldn’t match the blog style. Then I got the idea to write about my school life  something I deeply miss and love. So, I chose the title "Through My School Window: A Journey of Friendship and Memories."

I collected photos from my school friends, some from the school’s social media pages, and a few from current students in the school media unit. At first, I didn’t know how to divide my memories into topics or how to match the stories with photos, but once I started writing, I slowly got ideas. I also learned how to write a proper blog, which I didn’t know before.

Completing this assignment made me truly happy  not just because it’s for marks, but because it helped me relive beautiful school memories. I shared the blog with my school group, and when they commented saying it made them emotional or want to return to school, I felt really proud and touched. One of them even said it felt like time traveling back to our classroom. This blog is very special to me and I will always keep it close to my heart.

📌 Comparison Between Initial and Final Writing

At the beginning, my ideas were not organized. I first planned to write about my daily life, but I changed it to school memories, which had more depth and emotion. My initial writing had simple wording, and I wasn’t confident about how to organize the blog or match the photos properly. I also didn’t know how to choose titles or structure each post meaningfully.

As I continued working, I learned to arrange memories with more emotion, add thoughtful captions, and connect topics smoothly. I improved my writing style, and my final blog ended up being far better than my early drafts. The final result reflects not only my growth as a writer but also my deep connection to the topic. This assignment helped me discover new skills and also brought me joy and healing.
